The Merry Thoughts - Glory Boys

Fun time is over now
And still no one is satisfied
'cause ashen faces do not glow
Heaven is dropping on the hills
But they are still alive
Dead are the valleys down below
Now, hear the thunderbolt
And lightning lights your blackened skies
When you're afraid of getting fear
The fogs are coming down
And so no one can see the light
Two hearts are never in the clear

The bells are ringing and the sun is shining
On sundays all the suns must shine
The sun is shining and no one sees the bright light
Except the glory boys who cry

The sea is blue
Your boats are small
Though sailors can swim well
Many of them won't reach the land
The wind blows strong
And angels fall
And someone rings a bell
And writes my name into the sand

The bells are ringing and the sun is shining
On sundays all the suns must shine
The sun is shining and no one sees the bright light
Except the glory boys who cry

The glory boys
Have lost their choice
